For more adventurous electronics hobbyists, Industrial Fiber Optics now offers a kit version of our highly successful lab size (semi-conductor) diode laser line. With similar electrical and optic specifications to our IF RL08 635, this kit you can now have the additional enjoyment and challenge of being able to build it from the component level up. An ideal project for student laboratory use, classroom remonstrations, laser shows and science projects.

Once assembled, this laser produces a highly collimated beam of 635 nm red laser light. It is also the only laser on the market which includes an internally-adjustable, internal electronic amplifier with a variable gain from 1 to 50 making it suitable for low-voltage microphone inputs as well as higher amplitude signals from AM/FM radios and CD/tape players.

Kit contains printed wiring board, electronic components, switches, laser diode, laser diode mount, collimating lens, impact-resistant acrylic enclosure with end cap, beam shutter, CDRH labels, power adapter and step-by-step assembly guide, circuit schematic and parts list. Does not include soldering iron or solder. (We recommend some soldering experience and understanding of simple schematics to complete this project.)

Assembly requires 25 watt soldering iron, electronic solder, screw driver, needle nose plier, and wire cutter.
