Industrial Fiber Optics offers, for educational use, laser pointers that produce either green or red light. The pointers are CDRH-compliant and bear all required regulatory labels. Our product line is unique because we offer the CDRH Class II rated devices which are not available from others. (Class II lasers have a maximum peak power of 1 milliwatt [mW] in the visible range — the highest class rating that many school systems permit.)

The IF 563 is the best pointer whose regulations limit lasers to CDRH Class II ratings or lower. With a nominal output power of .8 mW, emission wavelength of 645 nm, the laser beam from these pointers are bright enough for demonstrating most basic optical experiments. This pointer can also be used for any audio/visual presentation.

The 645 nm laser emission wavelength is approximately 4 times optical brighter to the human eye than the 670 nm laser pointers, which are often sold at ridiculous low prices.
