Key to this higher operating temperature specifications is the ESKA™ Hi-Temp fiber cable which has a modified pmma optical core and a cross-linked polyethylene jacket with a storage and operating temperature of -55 to 105 °C. Cable construction is identical to other plastic optical cables with a standard 1.0 mm core and 2.2 mm OD jacket.
