Industrial Fiber Optics offers, for educational use, laser pointers that produce either green or red light. The pointers are CDRH-compliant and bear all required regulatory labels. Our product line is unique because we offer the CDRH Class II rated devices which are not available from others. (Class II lasers have a maximum peak power of 1 milliwatt [mW] in the visible range — the highest class rating that many school systems permit.)
Green light producing laser pointers are superior to their red-light producing counter parts because they have a brighter beam for the same optical power and they have a better quality of laser beam. The optical spatial quality of these pointers are much better than red lasers, plus the beam has a narrower divergence.
This pointer is visually the brightest laser one can find with a CDRH Class II rating. Suitable for basic educational demonstration and experimentation, presentations and general purpose use. Also ideal for presentations, corporate gifts and astronomy accessory.
