Industrial Fiber Optics offers, for educational use, laser pointers that produce either green or red light. The pointers are CDRH-compliant and bear all required regulatory labels. Our product line is unique because we offer the CDRH Class II rated devices which are not available from others. (Class II lasers have a maximum peak power of 1 milliwatt [mW] in the visible range — the highest class rating that many school systems permit.)
The IF 560 is seen by many as the best laser pointer for the value. It produces a bright red laser beam of 645 nm light with a nominal power of 3 mW which is more than enough brightness for most common optical experiments and presentations. It is CDRH Class IIIa rated device and includes all required safety devices and labels. A great educational tool to demonstrate some of the very basics of optical and laser technology at a fair price.
