Overview
Industrial Fiber Optics manufactures standard product lines of fiber optic patchcords with plastic optical fiber (POF) and Versatile Link (Versalink) terminations. These products provide ready-made solutions for quick installations in commercial or industrial networking/communications applications using Avago Versalink fiber optic transmitters and receivers. The fiber in this patchcord is suitable for bend radii as small as 2 mm. This particular cable series is for short distance applications such at those inside cabinets and those that will require moderate tensile strength, require for moderate physical abuse and/or exposure to chemicals This particular cable is made with a multi-core fiber bonded together to create a 1.0 mm optical bundle surrounded by a black polyethylene jacket for an overall diameter of 2.2 mm. These cables are higher priced than the standard 2.2 mm polyethylene and polyamide jacketed series, but offer superior optical transmission in very small bend radii applications. Patchcords are available in multiple standard lengths and shipped from stock or quickly fabricated from stocked inventory to meet short delivery schedules.
Patchcord terminations are authentic Avago Versalink connectors.
These cables either meet or exceed the technical specifications of patchchords made by Avago or other contract manufactures.
